Entrance to the school depends on the department. In the Pre-Prep children will undergo an informal assessment which allows staff to monitor social interaction and communication skills in the first instance for 3 year old children, and then, in addition, following simple instructions and basic recognition of colours, counting and first sounds for 4 year old children. Reception assessments will follow this pattern, but we will look for more advanced skills in these areas.

Entrance beyond Reception is assessed by use of standardised tests which allow us to ascertain potential. We assess Maths, English and Verbal Reasoning. In addition we ask prospective pupils to spend a day within their peer group to assess social integration. Our policy is available on request from the school office.

It should be noted, however, that placing a child's name on our waiting list does not guarantee the offer of a place. Successful candidates are informed in writing and should a place be accepted it is subject to a £500 bond the terms and conditions of which can be found in the fee information. Please note that a full term's notice is required should you wish to move your child or a term's fees in lieu of notice will be charged.
